Are you bored doing nothing all day and just cannot find a good show to watch, well this is my top ten list for the best shows to watch when you are bored.

  1. Black-ish (4.9 stars)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Black-ish (stylized as blackish) is an American sitcom television series created by Kenya Barris. It premiered on September 24, 2014, and has run for six seasons on ABC.[1][2]

Black-ish follows an upper-middle-class African-American family led by Andre ‘Dre’ Johnson (Anthony Anderson) and Rainbow Johnson (Tracee Ellis Ross). The show revolves around the family’s lives, as they juggle several personal and sociopolitical issues. The show also features the characters Zoey Johnson (Yara Shahidi), Andre Johnson, Jr. (Marcus Scribner), Jack Johnson (Miles Brown), and Diane Johnson (Marsai Martin).[3]”(Wikipedia)

Black-ish is an amazing comedic show that everyone should watch. It always makes me laugh and has an amazing cast. They talk about problems in the African American community and turn this negativity into a funny positive.

2. Parks and Rec (4.7 stars)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Parks and Recreation (also known as Parks and Rec) is an American political satire mockumentary sitcom television series created by Greg Daniels and Michael Schur. The series aired on NBC from April 9, 2009, to February 24, 2015, for 125 episodes, over seven seasons. A special reunion episode aired on April 30, 2020.[1][2][3][4] The series stars Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope, a perky, mid-level bureaucrat in the Parks Department of Pawnee, a fictional town in Indiana. The ensemble and supporting cast features Rashida Jones as Ann Perkins, Paul Schneider as Mark Brendanawicz, Aziz Ansari as Tom Haverford, Nick Offerman as Ron Swanson, Aubrey Plaza as April Ludgate, Chris Pratt as Andy Dwyer, Adam Scott as Ben Wyatt, Rob Lowe as Chris Traeger, Jim O’Heir as Garry “Jerry” Gergich, Retta as Donna Meagle, and Billy Eichner as Craig Middlebrooks.

I don’t care what anyone says parks and recreation is better than the office. It has a hysterical cast which is divided into two. On one side we have the people who really don’t care about their jobs and just do stupid and goofy things( which I love) and not to name any names but the principle of this is Andy, and on the other hand, we have the people who actually care about their jobs and sometimes do stupid things(which I also love) like Amy.

3. The Office (4.62 stars)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Office is an American mockumentary sitcom television series that depicts the everyday work lives of office employees in the Scranton, Pennsylvania branch of the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. It aired on NBC from March 24, 2005, to May 16, 2013, lasting a total of nine seasons.[1] It is an adaptation of the 2001–2003 BBC series of the same name, being adapted for American television by Greg Daniels, a veteran writer for Saturday Night Live, King of the Hill, and The Simpsons. It was co-produced by Daniels’s Deedle-Dee Productions, and Reveille Productions (later Shine America), in association with Universal Television. The original executive producers were Daniels, Howard Klein, Ben Silverman, Ricky Gervais, and Stephen Merchant, with numerous others being promoted in later seasons.

Umm, of course, I was going to include the office. They are still one of the greatest shows ever created despite Parks and Rec in my opinion just being a little bit better. They are amazing and have somehow found a way for me to love all the characters. It is up for debate if the office is better than parks and Rec let me hear what you guys think in the comments. (ps. you have the right to strongly disagree and roast me)

4. Schitt’s Creek (4.56 stars)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Schitt’s Creek (stylized as Schitt$ Creek) is a Canadian television sitcom created by Dan and Eugene Levy that aired on CBC Television from January 13, 2015, to April 7, 2020.[1] It consists of 80 episodes spread over six seasons.[2][3] Produced by Not a Real Company Productions,[4] the series follows the trials and tribulations of the formerly wealthy Rose family when they are forced to relocate to Schitt’s Creek, a small town they once purchased as a joke.[5] Now living in a motel, Johnny Rose (Eugene Levy) and Moira Rose (Catherine O’Hara) — along with their adult children, David (Dan Levy) and Alexis (Annie Murphy) — must adjust to life without money and with each other.[5]”(Wikipedia)

Schitt’s Creek is one of , if not the most hilarious shows I have ever watched. Its cast was perfectly selected and just like parks and rec and the office, they have a bunch of amazing personalities.

5. The Good Place (4.3 stars)⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Good Place is an American fantasy-comedy television series created by Michael Schur. It premiered on NBC on September 19, 2016, and concluded on January 30, 2020, after four seasons and 53 episodes.

Although the story greatly evolves over the course of the series, the original premise follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell), a woman welcomed after her death to “the Good Place”, a highly selective heaven-like utopia designed and run by afterlife “architect” Michael (Ted Danson) as a reward for her righteous life. However, she realizes that she was sent there by mistake and must hide her morally imperfect past behavior while trying to become a better and more ethical person. William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, and Manny Jacinto co-star as other residents of a Good Place, alongside D’Arcy Carden as Janet, an artificial being who assists the residents

I cannot even start talking about how amazing the story of a good place is. This show will take you on an emotional roller coaster from comedy to sadness, to love, to scariness, to change, and many many more. I recommend you guys watch this amazing show.

6. superstore (4.28 stars)⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Superstore is an American single-camera sitcom television series that premiered on NBC on November 30, 2015.[2] The series was created by Justin Spitzer, who served as an executive producer for four seasons.[3][4] Starring America Ferrera (who also serves as an executive producer) and Ben Feldman (who also serves as a producer), Superstore follows a group of employees working at “Cloud 9”, store number 1217, a fictional big-box store in St. Louis, Missouri. The ensemble and supporting cast includes Lauren Ash, Colton Dunn, Nico Santos, Nichole Sakura, Mark McKinney, and Kaliko Kauahi. In February 2020, the series was renewed for a sixth season,[5] which premiered on October 29, 2020.[6]

Superstore is a diverse and hilarious show which shows you the truth of how hard it is to work in a store where everyone completely has completely different personalities. It also shows you the social and dating lives of the characters. It is all around a good show.

7. Silicon Valley (4.1 stars)⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Silicon Valley is an American comedy television series created by Mike Judge, John Altschuler, and Dave Krinsky. It premiered on HBO on April 6, 2014, running for a total of six seasons of 53 episodes.[1] The series finale aired on December 8, 2019.[2][3][4] The series, a parody of Silicon Valley culture, focuses on Richard Hendricks (Thomas Middleditch), a programmer who finds a startup company called Pied Piper and chronicles his struggles trying to maintain his company while facing competition from larger entities.[5][6] Co-stars of the series include T.J. Miller, Josh Brener, Martin Starr, Kumail Nanjiani, Zach Woods, Amanda Crew, Matt Ross, and Jimmy O. Yang. Silicon Valley has received critical acclaim since its airing, with praise for its writing and humor. The show has been nominated for numerous accolades, including five consecutive Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series.”

Silicon Valley is the perfect show for those of you nerds(jk) who want to start a company. It shows you hard and how many failures you can get when starting a company especially a company that has anything to do with some kind of code. It is very hard to not love this show. I think is an educational and comedic show that everyone should watch.

8. Naruto (3.8 stars)⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Naruto (Japanese: ナルト) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto. It tells the story of Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja who seeks recognition from his peers and dreams of becoming the Hokage, the leader of his village. The story is told in two parts — the first set in Naruto’s pre-teen years, and the second in his teens. The series is based on two one-shot manga by Kishimoto: Karakuri (1995), which earned Kishimoto an honorable mention in Shueisha’s monthly Hop Step Award the following year, and Naruto (1997)”.(Wikipedia)

Even though not many people enjoy watching Naruto, I still think it is an amazing show which deserves more credit. The cast has a mix of different personalities. From calmness, clumsiness, seriousness, and many more.

9. The 100 (3.7)⭐⭐⭐⭐

“The 100 (pronounced The Hundred [2]) is an American post-apocalyptic science fiction drama television series that premiered on March 19, 2014, on The CW and ended on September 30, 2020. The series, developed by Jason Rothenberg, is loosely based on the novel series of the same name by Kass Morgan.[3]

The series follows a group of post-apocalyptic survivors, chiefly a group of criminal adolescents, including Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor), Finn Collins (Thomas McDonell), Bellamy Blake (Bob Morley), Octavia Blake (Marie Avgeropoulos), Jasper Jordan (Devon Bostick), Monty Green (Christopher Larkin), Raven Reyes (Lindsey Morgan), John Murphy (Richard Harmon), and Wells Jaha (Eli Goree). They are among the first people from a space habitat, the Ark, to return to Earth after a devastating nuclear apocalypse. Other lead characters include Dr. Abby Griffin (Paige Turco), Clarke’s mother; Marcus Kane (Henry Ian Cusick), a council member on the Ark; and Thelonious Jaha (Isaiah Washington), the Chancellor of the Ark and Wells’ father.”

Moving away from comedy and into some action, I recommend the 100. It is action-packed and has a very interesting story to tell. It is an amazing show to binge so grab your popcorn and get watching.

10. Brookline Nine-Nine (3.4)⭐⭐⭐

“Brooklyn Nine-Nine is an American police procedural sitcom created by Dan Goor and Michael Schur. The series revolves around Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), an immature but talented NYPD detective in Brooklyn’s fictional 99th Precinct, who often comes into conflict with his new commanding officer, the serious and stern Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher). The rest of the cast features Stephanie Beatriz as Rosa Diaz, Terry Crews as Terry Jeffords, Melissa Fumero as Amy Santiago, Joe Lo Truglio as Charles Boyle, Chelsea Peretti as Gina Linetti, Dirk Blocker as Michael Hitchcock, and Joel McKinnon Miller as Norm Scully.”

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is honestly the best police show I have ever watched. It makes catching bad guys look easy. The comedy, while not the greatest is still better than any other comedic crime show out there. I recommend watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine when you are bored and just want some entertainment.
